2 Corinthians 3: says,’ 14 But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament,
because the veil is taken away in Christ. 15 But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. 16 Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.’
I needed to know Him as verse 16 says and growing in Christ is a process as verse 18 says. We are being transformed from glory to glory not by our effort but by the Spirit of God.
We just need to surrender and have a hunger for the knowledge of God. It is never too late to get deeper with the Lord.
I went to a convent school and was given the New Testament. From 7 years of age to 18 years old, I read that book until it was in taters but
I understood nothing. I moved, lost the book, and forgot about it. It was not until 1999 at 39 years of age when I was saved and began reading the
Bible again with an open heart and the veil was removed.
I started to be really present at church service and understand. I attended many different churches and prayer meetings, experiencing many different manners of worship, praise, and prayer. I began to see the Spirit working amongst the people.
People would fall at a touch of the spirit, some would roll on the ground, laughing and even screaming out loud in a different language. It put a fear in me. .I wanted to see with my physical eyes to understand Jesus, but it is said in Isaiah 6:9, ‘ And he said, “Go, and say to this people: ‘Keep on hearing, but do not understand. keep on seeing, but do not perceive.’
Preachers can preach you to hell if you are not careful about receiving God’s Word with eyes open, ears open and an open heart. If you are in God’s Word, it brings
