Flesh vs Spirit

Romans 8

Ecclesiastes 5: 6,18-20

I started writing about law vs spirit.

Galatians 3:19-29

These verses explain the purpose of the law and Jesus said He came to fulfill the law. God kept us under guard until the Seed that was promised came.

I believe in Jesus ; do you?

Romans 8 starts of with assurance

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

Jesus freed me from the law of sin and death

Romans 8

3 For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh,

4 that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

If Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.  We are promised Spirit of adoption and the right to call God , Father, . We are assured an eternal life and glory. We may suffer in this world but it is only for a moment.

Romans 8

32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

When we believe Jesus, the doors of heaven pours out blessings freely. Jesus did not come to condemn but to save and heal. His finished work on the cross, gives us that privilege.  Romans 8 speaks of intercessory prayers from Holy Spirit and Jesus for us. God even from beginning of time foreknew His children, wanting them to be like Jesus, inviting them and drawing them to Himself  that when we believe on Jesus, we are declared righteous. He shares His glory with them

We are promised, blessed, not condemned, accepted and saved and healed by Jesus. My eyes are on Jesus. I will follow Him and receive my complete healing. Praise the Lord!
