Galatians 3
When I started reading healing scriptures, I was brought to Deuteronomy 28:15-68 in particular 61. I could imagine how the people had to follow to the letter everything the law stated. Forget one and you have lost the whole battle.
Deuteronomy 27:26/ Galatians 3:10
10 For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, as it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.”
But for Jesus, oh Jesus! Throughfaith in His Name and His finished work.. So when I read Galatians 3:1
O Foolish Galatians! The only thing I could do was cry. I was going through health issues and I could see how the Galatians would be engulfed in fear of death. We frantically run around and usually turn to familiar grounds; here being the law. Now, here is something they can do to save themselves from persecution. They scattered like insects and forgot about the One who saves, justifies, blesses and waiting to fulfill His promise to us. I was afraid eventhough Holy Spirit assured me
‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me’
I fell and now I am afraid to leave the home. Pain took over and I was foolish to fall back on flesh.
I needed to hear of faith. The way Abraham heard the gospel preached to him by God Himself, believed and was blessed.
Deuteronomy 28:1
If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. 2 All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God:
Abraham heard God’s voice and obeyed.
It is easy to fall away in times of trouble as did the Galatians but Paul gives this statement
Galatians 3
13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.”
14 He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.
We forget we have a promise of the Spirit (greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world)
I want to be like believing Abraham. I want to know love took over my fear.
I walk everyday head held high and know that angels have been given charge over me. No evil will befall me and no plague will come near my dwelling. I do not have to run back to the past to familiar grounds. I do not want to miss out on the promise of the Spirit through faith. I do not want to miss out on the blessings of Abraham in Christ Jesus.
