First let me say New Year blessings to everyone.
John 15:16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.
How true. I know I am a child of God but sometimes I bear fruit like the child of the devil. Why is that? It is easy to blame the world and the devil but really! I am so busy running the race in this world that I forget why I am running or where I am running to….With the start of a new year, I can truly say I am at peace. Not in love with my job or where I am living but God knows. I was in love with my old job SO in love that I spent every waking moment researching…working…sharing and sharing some more. I spent so much time with work that I had no time to spend with God. I was replacing being alone and hating it with work. Bible says the Lord is a jealous God. I believe He prunes things, relationships and anything that takes us away from Him. He allows things to happen to us to bring us back to the straight and narrow path AND keep is in His plan. I loved my job and told everyone But spiritually and mentally I was not clothed in God’s righteousness or felt His love. I used to say I felt so happy when I was appreciated and had helped people. So noble! Man’s praises edified me. But I was tired, working 7 days a week, no time for anything but work and sleep. Last fall came and I was laid off 1 job but the job I loved , I was still involved. However, it was becoming burdensome with no prospects and treated indifferently. I guess there was nowhere to go but down. I should have resigned when prompted by the Holy Spirit but God knows why I continued. So the inevitable happened. There was a blow out at work and before I could resign, I was fired. First time in 40 years of working, I was fired. I was told to vacate the premises immediately. I thought I would be ashamed, embarrassed, angry…..but God knows. I walked out with such relieve; as if I was released from a bondage. And I slept. I am glad to report that I am connecting with God again. My love for painting, writing cooking has come back with a passion. I work at a job where I am in line for a promotion. Everyday is a new day. I turned 61 years last November. I am blessed, loved and I am not alone. Praise the Lord!
