My path in this world

God’s unconditional love…. He makes it seem so easy and yet we struggle every step when love is involved. Look at all the marriages and families in this generation. We get married full of hope, love and forever on our minds but we get distracted so easily by the things of this world. Our excuse, not enough time in a day to do all we want to do; priority- make money and survive. The enemy takes away pleasure and fun. We blame the family – too many responsibility, the wife- what a nag, the husband – what a lazy bone. Women take married life seriously and men just want to have fun. Disappointment turns to neglect which turns to self pity and we become an easy prey for the devil – porn, bars, secretaries, affairs, adulteries….. And finally the easy way out – DIVORCE. AND BITTERNESS – if THE ONE I LOVED can leave ME or treat me wrong then I am worthless and useless

We, women jump from a smile to love to matrimony. We do not wait for God’s wisdom but we are quick to use His name to justify our choices or decisions. But one day we wake up and look at the total stranger lying

beside us. I guess I must seem desperate for marriage and all the security I thought it brought that I did not stop to question or ask the Lord who knows the end from the beginning. I have an excuse in my first marriage. I was not a Christian.  I said yes when the question was popped and it was my insecurity that was saying yes. The night after our wedding, I was told that we were not going to have any children. Maybe I should have left then but insecurity said what will you do? You do not have enough money to survive on your own. Insecurity said hang in there; it will be ok. But it never gets better. I was told that I was fat and not worthy of hanging out with him and his friends. We stopped going out with his friends. I was told that I was stupid and did not know how to do anything. I hung in there , looking at the positive side. I made friends but I ended up having an affair, being sick and running away from home. When I came back, I was a born again Christian and stayed in the marriage For 15 years. I was a good wife and homemaker. Then I started up my affair again. Why? It was wrong from the beginning but I was blinded by loneliness AND  desperation. I divorced and married my affair why?, out of guilt and atonement for my sin of adultery. You know we make decisions thinking that is what God wants even when the Lord tries to stop us . I was married 4 years before I realized that I had made a terrible mistake. This affair who was kind and good to me during the affair was a mean, arrogant women chasing old man. He was actually using me and even though the Lord tried to stop the wedding by showing me his dark side, I did not listen. I wanted to do it my way.I was not ready to be rid of my guilt and did not want to forgive myself. I paid for it. He treated me like I was his servant and was there to do his bidding. He showed everyone that he was a great husband but at home he did his own thing and went out with many women. I tried to save this marriage and kept trying but when it went to physical abuse, I got out. I am not saying I was not at fault. I did not fight right. I was so angry, bitter and mad. My words did not help our situation. With bitterness and self loathing I walked this earth until the Lord captured me with Ephesians 4. My question is have you been in a similar situation? How did you handle it?
