Abram began his journey with his nephew, wife, servants, stock and household
God took him to Canaan but the Cannanites lived there.
According to Genesis 12, they departed to go to the land of Canaan. So they came to the land of Canaan. 6 Abram passed through the land to the place of Shechem, as far as the terebinth tree of Moreh. And the Canaanites were then in the land 7 Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your descendants I willgive this land.”
[ ] According to God, that land belonged to His people. He confirmed it again in Genesis 13:15 where He said ” for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever. and again in Genesis 15: 18 where He says ” On the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying: To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates “
It was God’s plan all along to provide for His people ; the land of Canaan flowing with milk and honey but in Genesis 12 it is said that the Canaan’s still lived there and in Genesis 15:16 But in the fourth generation they shall return here, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete.”
This is God we are talking about ; God who created the earth and everything in it. He just had to say it and these people living in the promised land would have been
obliterated. That did not happen why?
the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete. Cannanites lived in the land. So what?!
In Joel 2:17-19,
“Let the priests, who minister to the Lord,
Weep between the porch and the altar;
Let them say, “Spare Your people, O Lord,
And do not give Your heritage to reproach,
That the nations should rule over them.
Why should they say among the peoples,
‘Where is their God?’ ”
18 Then the Lord will be zealous for His land,
And pity His people.
19 The Lord will answer and say to His people,
“Behold, I will send you grain and new wine and oil,
And you will be satisfied by them;
I will no longer make you a reproach among the nations.”
Revelation 3:19
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.
God is searching for even 1 repentant heart (2 Chronicles 16:9) and a song says
“The eyes of the Lord roam to and fro
Throughout the earth that he might find
The one whose heart is completely his,
That he might fully support him.”

Can you imagine what God would have done if Abrahan said,”
Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak again but this once. Suppose one righteous is found there. Will you destroy the righteous with the wicked?”
Abraham stopped at 10 and God said He would not destroy Sodom if 10 righteous persons are found in it. (Genesis 18:32)
Thank God for intercessors who are obedient to pray for burdens dropped in thier heart.
I have not forgotten about the man. He tried to engage his neighbours while he was building his home but they were not interested and yet there they were destroying his home built for his family. They did not repent and their iniquity was complete. Now what?
